Sabie

Pit stop in Sabie

sunny 15 °C

mWll, the lonely planet guide said it was worth visiting... and... what can I say. For an Australian, Sabie was the kind of place you visit from Sydney or Melbourne when the weather forecast says its the only place within 200km that has good weather. The views were kind of nice, it was pleasant and quaint, but hardly worth an 11 hour plane ride. With hindsight, the N4 direct to Swaziland would have been a better option. Live and learn.

That being said, it was kinda cute, and popped out a couple of good photos. But I wouldnt be crossing any time zones or equators to head there.

Johannesburg

Jo'burg, we hardly knew you

sunny 7 °C

It's the hub of Africa, and the biggest city in South Africa... but, humblest apologies, to me it was a place to acquire the Corolla and GTFO. Not that there's anything wrong with it - I wasn't there long enough to know - just that I had 52 hours to get to Durban for the wedding, and much to see and do... and sorry, Joburg, you just weren't at the top of the list.

Hasta manana, Joburg.
